Dr. Chang Lin
Dr. Lin was born and raised in Taipei and, at the age of 24, he decided to move to the United States to attain his own version of the American Dream. He was accepted into La Sierra University in California and, four years later, graduated with a 3.99 GPA in Chemistry. He earned the Outstanding Senior of the Year award, a testimony to his academic excellence and dedication to learning.
Subsequently, Dr. Lin pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at University of Maryland where, once more, he proved himself to be an exceptionally bright student and forward-thinking individual. In addition to his studies and regular patient load, he also spent significant time providing high-quality dental services and treatments to underserved populations. He worked at several externship sites and has generously volunteered his time and talents at the Mission of Mercy since 2016.
He is a born-leader with impeccable clinical skills coupled with a strong passion for dentistry. These traits have made him strive even harder to provide a much-needed service to the community he serves.
Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Lin has attended numerous continuing education seminars and courses to stay current on the latest research and most advanced clinical technology in his field. Currently, his primary focus is periodontal treatments.
Dr. Lin resides with his wife and their daughter in Maryland. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, reading, viewing new films and television shows, and spending time with his family. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Maryland State Dental Association, as well as the founder of Your Maryland Dentist.
Dr. Paulina Rodrigues
Dr. Rodrigues grew up in New Jersey and attended Ramapo College. She was awarded the Presidential Scholarship through all four years and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
After college, she attended the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. At dental school, she was accepted to become an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clerk and Pediatric Clerk, where she received additional training in tooth removal, bone shaping, and dentistry for children. She spent time providing dental treatment to the underserved at several externship sites and Mission of Mercy. She was granted membership in Omicrom Kappa Upsilon, Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society, and Gamma Pi Delta for her high academic standing and excellent skills with fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
In her spare time, Dr. Rodrigues enjoys a variety of activities including hiking, rock climbing, skiing, swing dancing, and yoga. She loves talking teeth with her husband, who also happens to be a dentist!
Dr. Kwan Ngai
Dr. Kwan Ngai is a long time Maryland resident. She moved to Baltimore, Maryland with her family when she was eleven. She grew up in Baltimore and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Maryland College Park. She researched and aided in vaccine development at various biotechnology company upon graduation. After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery, Dr. Ngai went on to complete an advanced training of general practice residency program at Christiana Care in Delaware. She now resides in Laurel, MD with her husband. In her spare time, she loves to travel, eat, cook, and spend time with family and friends.
Leigh was born and raised in Glen Burnie, Maryland. She has also lived in Southern California, Germantown, MD and Washington, D.C before finding her way back to the area. She studied acting/theater in college before getting into the dental field 10 years ago, starting as a dental assistant and eventually transitioning to the administrative side. In her spare time, she likes to travel, write and perform music, and watch Netflix documentaries.
Christina was born and raised in Maryland. She resides in Pasadena with her family. In 2014 she graduated from Chesapeake High School in Pasadena. After high school, she spent a few years working at a local jewelry store before deciding to pursue a career in the dental field. She has been working front desk for the past four years, and enjoys the daily interaction with patients. In her free time, Christina enjoys going out on the water, taking spontaneous day trips and spending time with friends/family.
